Arsenal F.C. have agreed to a transfer for star striker Alexandre Lacazette from Olympique Lyonnais for a club record fee of £52 million. The 25 year old from France scored 37 goals in 45 games for Lyon this season in the French Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League. Scoring the 5th most goals in the Premier League last season, Arsenal will look to Lacazette to produce, especially with Alexis Sanchez possibly leaving the club this summer. Arsenal finished 5th this year in the league table, failing to qualify for Champions League this upcoming season. However, Lacazette could push Arsenal to a top four spot once again.
Arsenal’s regular season will kick-off it’s preseason on July 29 in the Emirates Cup, when they face of against Benfica of the Portuguese League.
