In the fifth inning of Friday night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, Aaron Judge hit his 30th home run of the season. This particular one broke the record for most home runs by a rookie in a single season by a Yankee. The previous record of 29 was held by Joe DiMaggio, was set in 1936. Judge broke the record in only 84 games. Here is the home run below.

Judge had this to say after the game, “Any time you’re in the same sentence with somebody like DiMaggio, it’s pretty incredible. It’s quite an honor.” The Yankees did however, lose the game 9-4. Keeping them in second place, 4.5 games back of the Red Sox.
