- Chris Sale, of the Boston Red Sox and Max Scherzer, of the Washington Nationals, have been named the Starting Pitchers for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game, which takes place Tuesday Night, in Miami, at 7:30 on FOX.
Sale is Currently 11-4, with a 2.75 ERA, and the Red Sox currently sit atop the AL East by 3.5 games. Scherzer has posted a 10-5 record, with a league-best 2.10 ERA. The Nationals lead the NL East by 9.5 games.
This will be Sale’s second consecutive year starting for the American League side, last year coming with the White Sox. Also, this will be Scherzer’s second time starting on the bump, but first with the National League.
