Paul George, four-time NBA All-Star, who has been on the trading block for the better half of the last two seasons, has finally been dealt, to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Wow! Not many, including myself, had George’s landing spot be Oklahoma City, but he will join forces with 2016-17 MVP Russell Westbrook.

According to Ramona Shelburne, of ESPN, the Indiana Pacers will be getting Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis in return. Prior to the trade, the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers were expected to be in the mix for George’s services.
Oklahoma City is entering a tough season, in which George and Westbrook, pending either of them signing extensions, will be free agents heading into the next summer, which could mean a complete overhaul for the organization. It is (not so secretly) understood that the Lakers will sign George following the 2017-18 campaign. However, in the mean time, the Thunder have moved a step closer to the top of the league.
