Legendary coach? Duh. Team president? Nope.

Anybody that knows ANYTHING about basketball knows that Phil Jackson is a horrible team president or in Max Kellerman’s words, “hot garbage”.

From what he has said about Carmelo Anthony back in February…

“We’ve not been able to win with him on the court at this time,” Jackson said. “I think the direction with our team is that he is a player that would be better off somewhere else and using his talent somewhere where he can win or chase that championship. Right now, we need players that are really active, can play every single play defensively and offensively.”

Or his desire to trade Porzingod because he missed one freaking meeting…

“I don’t think I’ve ever had a player over 25 years of coaching, maybe 30, not coming to an exit meeting, so it’s not happened to me. I know it happens to other people and other players. His brother and his agent have downplayed it, but still, it’s a chance for a person to express themselves, and I had a real good relationship with Kristaps over the last two years. So it was kind of surprising.”

Phil Jackson is probably the most hated man in New York and everybody knows it. Not only has he not been able to bring a winning team together, he has seemingly done everything that has hurt this team.

His amazing relationship with his players as a legendary coach has not carried over to his team president position one bit. I am sure James Dolan is starting to think that everybody calling Phil a moron isn’t just blowing steam.

Expect Phil to be in the hot seat pretty soon. Updates coming.
