McCollum finished the first quarter 11-14 from the field, 2-2 from the free throw line, and 4-5 from three point land. It was a masterful first quarter, as he alone outscored the Bulls by nine points in the quarter.
He scored four points in the second quarter to finish with 32 at the half. The third quarter was more of the same, as McCollum continued to dominate the Bulls defense to the tune of 18 more points.
With no need to play in the fourth quarter, McCollum became just the second player in NBA history to score at least 50 points in less than 30 minutes.
McCollum with 50 points in 29 minutes.
The only other player in NBA history to score 50 or more points in under 30 minutes is Klay Thompson (December 5, 2016 vs Pacers).
