According to Brad Turner, of the LA Times, the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in signing a number of players during free agency, including the likes of Andre Iguodala, Danilo Gallinari, Rudy Gay, P.J. Tucker, and others.

During the offseason, the Clippers have already made headlines, trading away nine-time NBA All-Star, Chris Paul, after he informed the team that he was going to sign with the Houston Rockets during free agency. Houston sent Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Lou Williams, a 2018 first round draft pick, and more to L.A.

Turner also reported that Blake Griffin, the 2009 No. 1 overall draft pick of the Clippers, is the organization’s top priority during the offseason, and that they will meet with Griffin’s representative on Friday, just ahead of the beginning of free agency on July 1.

Given that the Clippers will be without Paul, and possibly Griffin, there is a huge hole left in the middle of the lineup, especially at the two forward positions. Enter Gallinari, Gay, and Iguodala. All of these players would make a lot of sense for Jerry West and Doc Rivers to go after, and they’d each slide right into to a starting spot immediately. If the Clippers can sign one or two of these targets, they’ll likely remain a playoff team.
