Mills averaged 9.5 points on 41.4 percent shooting at the three point line.
Throughout his entire career, Mills has played the best throughout the playoffs. Playoffs are what defines players and Mills proved himself last year.
Mills, 28, is still young and has a lot more to prove to the NBA other than shooting the ball. Mills made his decision to continue to play behind Tony Parker.
This deal can help us infer that the Spurs aren’t looking for a big time point guard and will allow their rookie Dejounte Murray to run point guard while Parker out.
