The Thunder are planning on meeting with Russell Westbrook’s bench warmer.
After every team exposed the Oklahoma City Thunder’s bench last season, they are looking for answers in free agency. However, the player who they are looking for isn’t the answer.
According to Royce Young of ESPN, Oklahoma City Thunder will be in contact with free agent Michael Carter- Williams this weekend.
Expect the Thunder to be in contact with unrestricted free agent Michael Carter-Williams this weekend as free agency opens.

MCW averaged 18 minutes per game, 6.6 points, on career low 36.6 shooting percentage.
MCW played on the Chicago Bulls last year, but didn’t get a lot of minutes because of the crowded back court. When MCW was playing, Williams showed flashes of his old self and sometimes played like he didn’t enjoy the game. He just did not care.
Carter-Williams on the Thunder isn’t the best move if they are worrying about who’s going to score when Westbrook sit on the bench. MCW isn’t your consistent scorer off the second unit.
If this deal goes through, the Thunder would be getting another guard who can not shoot. The learning experience from last season, was to get players who can shoot the three or create their own shot.
OKC should spend their money on Patty Mills or Jonathon Simmons.
