Ingles had a solid year last season, his third with the team, producing career-highs nearly across the board mainly coming off the bench. While his 7.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game averages don’t jump off the screen, Ingles has established himself as a key part of what the Jazz like to do on both offense and defense. His 1.2 steals per game average, as well as his 44.1 percent shooting from the three-point line last year were crucial to the Jazz having their most successful season is more than half a decade. He can spread the floor, his 6’8″ frame allows him to guard multiple positions on the court, and he is also a very good passer. He is a player that every team would like to have because, while he isn’t very athletic, he can do a little bit of everything.
After trading for Ricky Rubio, and now re-signing Joe Ingles, the Jazz are hoping they can also re-sign Gordon Hayward and build off of the success the team had last season, advancing to the second round of the playoffs.
