The Northwestern Wildcats, in their first NCAA Tournament appearance ever, won over Vanderbilt in a wild fashion, 68-66.

Northwestern carried the lead for the majority of the game until Vanderbilt took a one-point lead with 17 seconds left in the game. Unfortunately, the Commodore’s guard Matthew Fisher-Davis didn’t realize Vanderbilt had the lead and fouled Northwestern’s Bryant McIntosh and sent him to the line, where McIntosh made both free throws to put the game away for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats will play Gonzaga in the Round of 32 on Saturday.
