Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told USA Today that star wide receiver Dez Bryant received a therapeutic injection in his injured foot Friday in order to try to speed up the recovery process.
Jerry further explained how the injection was not a setback ,but was rather an attempt to help the injury heal quicker and make the chance of Bryant playing week 7 more realistic.

“There is not a concern about his progress,” Jones told USA TODAY Sports. “The fact that he can do that (injection therapy) is a positive. This was not something to address something that was a surprise or anything. It was something to get him some additional strength.”

Jones further explained the belief that Bryant is well ahead of schedule in his rehab and that he will be back on the field in the original 6-8 week timeframe the team provided after the injury.

When asked about his receivers rehab Jones said  “Daily, he’s testing the limit of how far he can go.”  Said Jerry “Impressively active in his rehab,”

The team hopes to have Dez back by week 7.
