The Philadelphia Eagles have won their first Super Bowl ever!

First title since 1960. In unbelievable fashion. The Eagles traded blows with the New England Patriots all night long. But it was Philadelphia’s defense that made two stands in a row to finish off Tom Brady and New England.

The Eagles are crowned champions after their 41-33 triumph, and will never be forgotten because of it. Nick Foles was as efficient as possible. He threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns in the upset victory.

What a ride it was for Foles. The only reason he was starting this game was because QB Carson Wentz tore his ACL in Week 14. If that injury wouldn’t have happened, he was likely going to be named NFL MVP in his second season.

But who knows if the Eagles would have won it all without Foles? LeGarrette Blount was impressive as well. The bruising back ran for 90 yards on 14 carries, including a score. The former Patriots running back has now won the last two Super Bowls. His former teammates one the other side weren’t as lucky.

Brady was outstanding, but it simply wasn’t enough. He threw for 505 yards, three scores, and a rating of 115.4. Danny Amendola led the team with 152 receiving yards as well. The Patriots are now 5-3 in Super Bowls with Brady. Even though he is the greatest QB ever, the 40-year-old doesn’t have all that much time left. However, he will likely be back for another season. As for the Eagles, it’s hard to say what they’ll do with Foles and Wentz.

But either way, Philadelphia is on the top of the world right now and that’s all that matters!
