Following a heart breaking loss in overtime to the rival Ravens at home, the Steelers stay at Heinz Field and are hosting the Cardinals, who remain on the road for their second straight road game.

Running Back Le’Veon Bell

Without Ben Roethlisberger under center, the Steelers are 1-1 with Michael Vick as the starter. With a touchdown thrown in each of his two games started, Vick has shown flashes that he still has the ability to successfully run an offense. Since returning from his suspension, Le’Veon Bellhas not missed a step and has scored in all three games and is currently averaging 4.9 yards per carry. After five games, wide receiver Antonio Brown ranks top five in both receptions and receiving yards. On the defensive side, Pittsburgh needs to look to create turnovers for they are in the bottom half of the league with only six takeaways. However, this D is tied for fourth in the league in sacks (16) and they must pressure Carson Palmer if they’re looking to become 4-2.

Arizona Cardinals (4-1)

Quarterback Carson Palmer

2015 marks the second year in a row that the Cardinals have started 4-1. In both of Arizona’s road games this year, they have outscored their opponents 90-40. They lead the league in interceptions (11) and are tied for second in total takeaways (13). Veterans Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer are beginning to build that chemistry that every quarterback/wide receiver combo can only dream of. The 32 year old Fitzgerald seems to be making a comeback of sorts and has tripled his touchdown total from last year in just five games (currently has six). At 35, Palmer is playing lights out considering he has bounced back from another ACL tear. Carson found his groove and has thrown for 13 touchdowns in five games which is tied for the most in the league. Rookie sensation David Johnson has also done a great deal to contribute to Arizona’s success. Johnson has three rushing touchdowns, two receiving touchdowns and has returned a kickoff to the house. Let’s see if this rookie’s success can continue with the return of starting running back Andre Ellington.

Madden 16 Simulation

With Big Ben being inactive, it only helps the Cardinals defense shutdown one of the best offenses in the league. The Cardinals won this series of simulations 3-2. With Vick under center, the Steelers struggle to put points up on the scoreboard. Le’Veon Bell will be the determining factor in this game. The Cardinals won the simulations and win this matchup today to improve to 5-1 on the season.

Tune in @ 1:00 October 18 to catch the game of the week!

Brandon’s Pick

In one of the best games of week 6, I got the Cardinals remaining undefeated on the road and moving on to 5-1. Palmer and Fitzgerald will connect for two scores and David Johnson with run for another. Vick will connect with Antonio Brown for one score while Le’Veon Bell rushes for two on the day. The Cardinals defense will force a few turnovers early in this one and will score early.

Final Score:

Arizona Cardinals 34

Pittsburgh Steelers 24
