In the early early NFL game of the day, Buffalo made a good comeback effort in the final quarter, but Jacksonville righted the ship and finished out the win by a final of 34-31.

The Bills fall to 3-4 on the season.  Jacksonville had lost 3 straight coming in, and the win puts their record at 2-5. For a Buffalo team that had a hot start, this one had to sting.  E.J. Manual played QB in place of injured Tyrod ‘T-Mobile’ Taylor, and came up just short.  Manual had to roll to his left to throw on a critical 4th and 1 on Buffalo’s last drive, with the pass falling incomplete.

Manual finished with 298 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.  Robert Woods led Buffalo receivers with 9 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown.  LeSean McCoy had 18 carries for 68 yards, and would probably have liked one more carry on that crucial last 4th down.

The winning Jaguars were led by rookie running back T.J. Yeldon. He had 115 yards on 20 carries along with a touchdown.  Quarterback Blake Bortles finished the day with 182 yards passing, 2 TD’s and a pick.  Allen Robinson had 98 receiving yards and a TD on 6 catches.

Buffalo next faces the Miami Dolphins at home on November 8th, after a bye week.  All eyes are on Tyrod Taylor’s health. The young quarterback really fits coach Rex Ryan’s ground and pound style of play.

Jacksonville also has a bye week, and will travel to New York to face the Jets on November 8th.
