The Dolphins had a ton of fun in their last two games. A new coach, new attitude and a combined 82-36 score in two victories.

Miami found no fun in Foxborough on Thursday night, as the New England Patriots dismantled the upstart squad, 36-7.

The Patriots ran the ball just enough vs Miami’s porous run defense, then used play action to pepper the field with Tom Brady passes, often to TE Rob Gronkowski.  Brady completed 26 of 38 throws for 356 yards and 4 touchdowns. ‘Gronk’ Gronkowski caught 6 of those completions for 113 yards and a TD. Dion Lewis had 1 touchdown. Julian Edelman had the other 2.

New England’s defense was all over Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill, sacking him 5 times and intercepting 2 of his passes.  Even though Tannehill came up with 300 total passing yards, Miami had just 15 yards rushing on 13 carries.

Miami (3-4) has an interim coach in Dan Campbell that the players respond to and was playing well coming into this game.  They can still sweep this one under the rug for a while and compete in a tight AFC Wild Card race.  They face the Bills in Buffalo on Sunday November 8th.

The Patriots look unstoppable when they have the football.  Bottom line, as long Tom Brady plays and Bill Belichick coaches, this team is a major force.  Still undefeated at 7-0, New England takes on the Redskins at home a week from this Sunday.
