The Carolina Panthers have been on an incredible ride so far this season as the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL. Carolina’s dominance is in large part to not only their defense, but especially due to stellar production from Cam Newton. Week after week, Cam is silencing his critics with the way that he annihilates defenses with his arm and his legs.
Newton is quickly rising through the ranks of the MVP Candidates as other teams are starting to go through their share of slumps. The Green Bay Packers went from being clear favorites in their division to going through a roller coaster of their own. The New England Patriots are still the best in the AFC, but they have suffered upset losses to the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles.
Meanwhile, Newton is firing on all cylinders and showing the media and his skeptics that he really is worthy of elite status. Imagine Randall Cunningham being 30 lbs heavier with more muscle. That is Cam Newton for you. Cam is 6’5″ 245 lbs, while Randall was 6’4″ 215 lbs. They bare great similarities as QB’s that are great scramblers and deadly passers.
Cam Newton is continuously looking for ways to take his game to a different level than before. At first, it seemed like Tom Brady would be the heads up favorite to win the MVP. He still is a favorite among many, but Newton is quickly gaining ground. Newton’s QB Rating is the best of his career so far with 93.2. This shows that he is making great steps to polish his passing. This is also an indication that he is minimizing his mistakes and maturing as a field general.
The Panthers will continue to roar with Cam as the Leader of the Pack. At 12-0, Carolina is roaring loudly across the NFL.
