Oh boy is Kirk Cousins going to become a rich man. The Redskins recently traded for quarterback Alex Smith indicating that Kirk will indeed become a free agent. Kirk finally gets want he wants.

Kirk does not want to play in Washington and by becoming an unrestricted free agent, he can go for his heart desires. He did say he wouldn’t mind playing under another page, but hey, who wouldn’t want 34 million dollars. Anyways, here are a couple options where Kirk Cousins could end up.

Denver Broncos

I believe the Broncos are the best option for Kirk. As a Redskins fan this is were I want Kirk to be. They have a stout defense and a great supporting cast to surround Kirk. The two things Kirk lacked at the Redskins were a defense and a star receiver/running back. Kirk gets that here with the Broncos.

Last season, Kirk played great in big games, but the Skins defense couldn’t hang on. With Kirk in a Bronco uniform, all the defense needs to worry about is getting stops, because the offense will produce with Kirk.

Cousins also gets a star receiver in Demariyus Thomas and CJ Anderson (Emmanuel Sanders may leave in Free Agency). Kirk put up great stats this season without an O-Line, a great running back and a definite star receiver. Kirk had a 109.6 passer rating when kept clean in the pocket. In Denver, I expect Kirk to produce as he has a great supporting cast around him.

Von Miller really wants Kirk in Denver, and I know Elway would love him on board.

Kirk may not sign unless Denver is able to pay him what he wants. Rumors are that they are moving a couple players soon enough.

Cleveland Browns

Another option for Kirk is to go to the winless Cleveland Browns. The Browns need a quarterback and would be willing to break the bank. Cousins would thrive in Cleveland because of their young offensive core. Corey Coleman, Josh Gordon and David NJoku all have bright futures in the league.

Kirk Cousins will really enjoy playing in Cleveland. This receiving core is similar to what Kirk had in 2016-2017 when he had DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon. Both of those receivers had over 1000 receiving yards. Gordon and Coleman are similar to Jackson and Garcon in their play styles.

The reason Kirk may not come here is because of the fear of not having immediately success. Also, the fact that they do not have a good defense and will not be able to compete in the AFC North.
