After coming back from a 28-3 deficit to win their fifth Super Bowl, the New England Patriots are in a position to repeat and win their sixth Super Bowl next year.

They traded their first and third-round picks to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for Brandin Cooks and a fourth-round pick. The Patriots, who were the third ranked offense of 2016, add another weapon to an already spectacular receiving corps.

Brandin Cooks is a super speedy receiver who can easily destroy single coverage by zooming past his defender. Couple that with the best quarterback of all time in Tom Brady throwing him the ball, and his ability to make huge plays down the field just skyrocketed. Additionally, the Pats also get superstar tight end Rob Gronkowski back after placing him on injured reserve in 2016, shortly after announcing that he will undergo a back surgery.

Impressively, the Pats won the Super Bowl last season without Gronk. Now imagine the best tight end in the NFL, two dynamic receivers in Julian Edelman and Brandin Cooks, the best quarterback of all time, and the best coach of all time as well. All on one team!

It’s beginning to look like this Pats team will head into the 2017-18 season looking more stacked than the Golden State Warriors. Furthermore, it will be surprising if the Pats aren’t undefeated Super Bowl Champions next season.
