The Blues fired their head coach Ken Hitchcock earlier this morning. This was following their 5-3 loss to Winnipeg at home last night. The plan was to have Hitchcock finish off this season, which was already going to be his last.

The Blues brought in Mike Yeo, former coach of the Minnesota Wild to replace him for next season. He’s been with the team all year but will be taking over as head coach for their game on Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Stay tuned just in case the Blues make a move to fire general manager Doug Armstrong, as fans are calling for. It’ll be interesting to see what the Blues can accomplish with Yeo as the new head coach. With Hitchcock out of the picture, the Blues try to get their season back on track.

They will play the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Thursday, their first game with Yeo in as the head coach. They’ve had major goalie issues, but with this major announcement, their season hangs in the balance.
